Full‑time, permanent, on‑site position in Los Angeles, California and Orange County, CA.

Expected start date:
December 28, 2025.

Annual salary range: $153k–$215k, dependent on qualifications and experience.

We are seeking two Litigation Attorneys, one based in Los Angeles headquarters and one in Orange County office. The incumbent will manage all case aspects except trial and arbitration presentations. Requires in‑depth knowledge of medicine, law, and medical malpractice litigation, and ability to develop effective case strategy.

• Work with trial attorneys and actively participate in formulating discovery and investigation strategies.
• Obtain concurrence with Claims Specialists on defense preparation.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and respond to discovery.
• Attend court appearances and prepare lawsuits for trial/arbitration.
• Share knowledge and information with all attorneys.
• Ensure cost‑effective work‑up and overall defense of assignments.
• Respond to “hotline” inquiries from Claims Department.
• Assist trial/lead attorneys with preparing reports to Claims at all stages of litigation for timely reporting.
• Comply with Defense Attorney Guidelines.
• Represent CAP/MPT physicians at deposition in “Depo‑only” cases.

J.D. Degree.

Minimum 3–6 years of Medical Malpractice Litigation experience.

• License to practice law in California.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to mentor, train, and build team enthusiasm among staff counsel.
