Litigation Paralegal

Our customer, a Utility company
, is looking for a Litigation Paralegal. In this role, you will assist lawyers in preparing and filing legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, cite checking, and memoranda.

Duration: 7 months, with the potential to extend

Hours: 40 hours/week

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite in downtown LA on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Rate: $30-32/hr on W2 Max

• Provide legal, regulatory, and business research support to attorneys.
• Assist lawyers with preparing and filing legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda.
• Prepare affidavits or other documents, maintain document file, and file pleadings with the court clerk.
• Draft, edit, and review legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize legal research, including statutes, case law, and legal articles.
• Investigate facts and legal issues to support case preparation.
• Interview clients by phone or in person and assist with client intake when required.
• Support attorneys by researching legal precedents and case-related information.
• They may have to travel to various courts to accompany their organization's lawyers, and they may have to train and coach new or more junior paralegals.

• 5-8 years of Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Regulatory litigation, Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, Cite checking (Westlaw / Lexis).
• The ability to work on-site in LA three days a week.
