Compensation: $30 to $33 per hour, commensurate with experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Contract/Contract to Hire
LHH is working with a boutique law firm seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their defense litigation team, delivering comprehensive legal support to attorneys across all phases of litigation. This role is ideal for a Certified Litigation Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and demonstrates excellent attention to detail. You will play a critical role in case management, trial preparation, discovery, research, and coordination with internal and external parties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-claim investigations and perform initial case assessments
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents
- Perform legal research and manage case files with accuracy and efficiency
- Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery indexes, and all related case documents
- Prepare exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices for attorneys
- Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other written discovery requests
- Serve as a liaison between trial teams and external parties, including experts and court personnel
- Support attorneys in preparation for trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in a defense-focused law firm environment
- Certification: Paralegal certification required; valid certificate must be provided prior to hire
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery processes, motions, and court rules
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word Perfect, Excel, Outlook, E‑Copy, Westlaw, Automated Forms, and E‑Filing systems
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Work Ethic: Self-sufficient, proactive, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Nice to Have: Bilingual abilities;
Spanish preferred but not required
