Trueline's client, a respected insurance defense law firm with a strong presence in California and Nevada, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their downtown Los Angeles team. This hybrid role requires a minimum of two in-office days per week and offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters across multiple practice areas, including professional liability, construction, and premises defense.
Must-Havesas the Litigation Paralegal
- Bachelor’s degree and an ABA‑approved Paralegal Certificate
- 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience in state and federal trial courts
- Proficiency in Westlaw, iManage, Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office, and e‑discovery platforms
- Expertise in calendaring, e‑filing, and managing court deadlines
- Strong skills in drafting, filing, and serving legal pleadings in state/federal courts and arbitrations
- Experience organizing exhibits and supporting materials for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials
- Ability to manage Blue booking for federal cases and state cases according to the California Style Manual
- Demonstrated ability to oversee complex discovery processes, including e‑discovery and third‑party subpoenas
- Self‑motivated with outstanding problem‑solving abilities
- Exceptional references
- Experience providing trial/arbitration support, including witness preparation and coordination with courts/vendors
- Familiarity with insurance defense litigation practices and procedures
- Strong research, writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure while juggling multiple priorities
