Civil Litigation Attorney

Description

We are looking for a skilled CA Barred Civil Litigation Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented individual who excels in representing clients, managing complex cases, and delivering high-quality legal services. The attorney will handle various aspects of civil litigation while ensuring compliance with legal standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough legal research to interpret statutes, case law, and legal articles relevant to active cases.

- Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs to support litigation strategies.

- Provide clients with strategic legal advice and updates on case progress.

- Manage discovery processes by drafting requests, responding to opposing counsel, and reviewing relevant documents.

- Negotiate settlements to achieve favorable outcomes while protecting client interests.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships through ethical practices and clear communication.

- Ensure adherence to court deadlines and procedural requirements.

- Collaborate with legal team members, including paralegals and support staff, to optimize case preparation.

Requirements

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active membership in the CA state bar.

- A minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience is preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively.

- Proven experience managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.

- Familiarity with litigation management tools and legal research platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes efficiently.
