A Top 50 AM Law is seeking a mid-level Associate (5–7 years’ experience) to join its nationally recognised Labor and Employment Group in Los Angeles
.
This role offers the opportunity to represent employers in complex, high-stakes employment matters, working alongside a collaborative team on some of the most challenging issues facing employers in today’s workplace. A strong background in wage and hour class action litigation is essential.
Responsibilities- Represent employers in all facets and stages of employment and labor relations matters
- Handle complex wage and hour class actions
, including PAGA litigation under California law - Advise and litigate on a broad range of California employment law issues
- Manage matters from pre-litigation through resolution, including motion practice and discovery
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Labor & Employment Group on sophisticated, fast-paced matters
- Support trial preparation and strategy (trial experience is a plus)
- 5–7 years’ experience practicing labor and employment law
- Strong experience with California employment law
, including wage and hour and PAGA class actions - Admission to the California Bar (required)
- Trial experience and Am Law 100 experience are a plus
- J.D. from a nationally recognised, accredited law school with a strong academic record
- Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy (law review or similar experience a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex matters, prioritise effectively, and anticipate issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working in a collaborative team environment
- Performance evaluations of “exceeds expectations” or higher at current firm
- Competitive salary range: $315,000 – $370,000
