Overview
Job Description And Duties As a member of a legal support team under the supervision of a Supervisor I, the Legal Specialist will provide day-to-day training of clerical and legal secretary staff in conjunction with the office’s Case Management Section (CMS) and Office of Professional Development (OPD). As part of the legal practice, the Legal Specialist will be analytical and be well versed in litigation, criminal, and administrative law procedures and practice to reinforce training provided by CMS and OPD;
research, develop and train legal secretarial and clerical staff on section specific procedures and practice to expand their knowledge, skills and abilities. The Legal Specialist must have knowledge of federal, state, California Rules of Court, and Local Court rules.
