Overview
The Aguirre Law Firm APC is an established and trusted immigration law firm with a strong team motivated by the positive changes they create for our clients and immigrant community. Our team is looking for a like-minded individual with the same values and motivations.
Responsibilities- Manage an array of cases including EOIR court cases and USCIS Family immigration cases.
- Draft motions and I-601 waivers; provide court representation, case management, and legal research.
- Maintain a caseload of 150+ cases and demonstrate strong organization and time management; communicate effectively with clients and team.
- Collaborate with the team, adhere to firm processes, and contribute to an easy learning environment.
- License to practice law in the State of California preferred
- 1-3 years of experience practicing immigration law
- Knowledge of USCIS and EOIR procedures and case management
- Ability to manage a caseload of 150+ cases
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) REQUIRED
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible team player
- Reliable transportation
- Be flexible to work from two office locations:
Los Angeles and Van Nuys (helpful but not required)
- Represent EOIR and USCIS matters; perform case review and analysis; draft motions, briefs, and appeals; manage cases; conduct legal research.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, respect, honesty, and professional initiative.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and commitment to making a difference.
- Follow instructions precisely while staying highly organized.
- Excellent communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office; strong computer skills.
- Experience with Immigration Law; experience with Family/deportation defense is highly preferred.
