Overview

The Aguirre Law Firm APC is an established and trusted immigration law firm with a strong team motivated by the positive changes they create for our clients and immigrant community. Our team is looking for a like-minded individual with the same values and motivations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an array of cases including EOIR court cases and USCIS Family immigration cases.
  • Draft motions and I-601 waivers; provide court representation, case management, and legal research.
  • Maintain a caseload of 150+ cases and demonstrate strong organization and time management; communicate effectively with clients and team.
  • Collaborate with the team, adhere to firm processes, and contribute to an easy learning environment.
Qualifications
  • License to practice law in the State of California preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing immigration law
  • Knowledge of USCIS and EOIR procedures and case management
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 150+ cases
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) REQUIRED
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible team player
  • Reliable transportation
  • Be flexible to work from two office locations:
    Los Angeles and Van Nuys (helpful but not required)
Job Duties and Skills
  • Represent EOIR and USCIS matters; perform case review and analysis; draft motions, briefs, and appeals; manage cases; conduct legal research.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, respect, honesty, and professional initiative.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and commitment to making a difference.
  • Follow instructions precisely while staying highly organized.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office; strong computer skills.
  • Experience with Immigration Law; experience with Family/deportation defense is highly preferred.

Salary: $85,000.00 - $ per year

Schedule: 8 hour shift;
