Position: Junior Attorney for Business Litigation Firm
A prestigious litigation law firm located in Los Angeles that represents clients in trial and appellate litigation worldwide, is seeking a senior attorney, specializing in commercial litigation. The position could be for the right candidate. Our firm is unique in many respects, and we take pride in setting ourselves apart in what has become a highly saturated legal market. The ideal candidate will desire more deposition, law and motion and trial work than he or she is currently performing.

Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• At least 2-5 of years experience in litigation, advantageous would be experience in commercial litigation
• Conducting thorough investigations into client matters, including performing legal research and analysis and sourcing expert opinion.
• Drafting and filing pleadings with the appropriate bodies
• Conducting thorough discovery and forming a position on the case. Drafting solid discovery requests, responding to discovery requests and controlling the flow of information regarding the case.
• Attend mediation hearings and settlement conferences, when appropriate
• Handle cases from inception through trial
• Outstanding research and advisory skills
• Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent client management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a committed team
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
