What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead the litigation team of contract attorneys and paralegals, providing mentorship and ensuring excellence in case handling.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of business and employment defense litigation cases.
  • Oversee case assignments, ensuring balanced workloads and high-quality output.
  • Conduct legal research, develop strategies, and craft winning legal arguments.
  • Draft and argue motions, respond to discovery, and take/defend depositions.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations.
  • Serve as first-chair attorney in civil trials and arbitrations.
  • Provide clients with risk analysis and litigation strategies.
  • Work closely with the firm’s principal on strategy and firm growth.
Experience You Will Need
  • JD from an accredited law school; admitted to the California State Bar (clean record).
  • 5+ years of litigation experience, with focus on business litigation and/or employment defense.
  • Proven success drafting/responding to discovery, handling depositions, and first-chairing civil trials.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and substantive law.
  • Leadership experience managing attorneys and legal staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
  • Track record of mentoring, supervising, and distributing workloads effectively.
