Overview
This is a temporary position for up to six (6) months, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role. This position does not include benefits.
Position SummaryThis new role will optimize the growth of the Claims Department. Emphasis in Subrogation, Auto, Workers Comp, and General Liability. Detailed oriented and eager to learn. Candidate will assist with all Company claims related events, contacting involved parties within established timelines through telephone and written communication. Review investigation reports, claims set-up, negotiations, arranging repairs, payment processing, and seeking actions to prevent a reoccurrence and claim resolution.
Assists with the development and strength of the Claims Department.
- Develop and administer all Company subrogation
- Connect with Maintenance Dept, Body Shops for estimates
- Contribute identifying trends, repeat damages, high risk accounts and potential fraudulent claims
- Review all incident Claims reports for accuracy, and completion
- Data entry and management of claims software (currently used MDI Claims 360 Manager)
- Process all claims payments in WD
- Process letters with liability decisions for claimants & customers
- Make contact with vendors, claimants, customers, employees and/or witnesses to further the investigation findings
- Secure necessary documentation to facilitate timely loss adjustments
- Identify and challenge questionable liability claims while involving the Director of Claims in its process
- Manages and closes claims by providing reasonable repairs and payments in a timely manner
- Enters activity notes and effective diaries in claims software
- Generates monthly risk reports
- Uses effective reasoning, analysis, and decision making skills
- Establishes strong relationships with Operations, Sales, Shop, and Accounting departments
- Actively participate in regularly scheduled meetings
- Recommends training and improvement activities needed to meet established goals
- Assist conducting Incident Investigation Training for Supervisors and Operations
- Protects the confidentiality of our claims records
- Able to navigate in a professional manner, unsatisfied claimants & customers
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Analytical and interpretive skills through Excel data analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively, professionally and clearly, both orally and in writing
- Ability to interface and work effectively with all staff levels
- Time management skills, organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Travels as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Hourly: $30.00 - $32.00 hourly
