 Join our team as a Key Player in Property Claims! 🏠✨

Hybrid role with required driving responsibilities. Seeking candidates near Woodland Hills or Burbank, CA (or nearby areas). Performance bonus opportunity. Requires 5+ years of related experience. Salary range: $48,085 – $87,935.

Responsibilities
  • Examine claims forms, policies, endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine coverages.
  • Investigate claims by interviewing claimants and witnesses, obtaining official reports, inspecting physical damage, and comparing claim information with evidence.
  • Set loss reserves and prepare reports summarizing required information for clients and regulators.
  • Negotiate settlements, issue settlement checks, file with regulatory agencies, and pursue subrogation when appropriate.
  • Control claim costs, maintain expected case load, and recommend litigation when necessary.
  • Present evidence at legal proceedings, maintaining company reputation and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, make sales calls to local businesses, and mentor junior adjusters.
  • Utilize available technology/automation to maximize claim handling efficiency and conduct roof inspections as needed.
  • Uphold the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times and participate in special projects or other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience adjusting complex property claims or claims with heavy losses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good attention to detail, analytical and mathematical ability, and organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer knowledge and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be licensed as required by state and local jurisdictions and complete continuing education requirements (Associate in Claims, AIC through AICPCU).
  • Variable schedule including on‑call; may require work beyond normal business hours and travel as necessary.
