Assignment OverviewWe are embarking on a major website rebuild for a leading financial services firm. This is a high-visibility initiative aimed at modernizing our digital ecosystem, streamlining client experiences, and leveraging the full power of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). We need a seasoned expert who understands the nuances of AEM architecture to lead the functional and technical requirements phase.
The RoleWe are seeking an Experienced AEM Product Manager
—this is not a role for someone learning the platform on the fly. You will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring that complex financial requirements are translated into scalable AEM components and workflows.
The ideal candidate has "been there, done that" with large-scale AEM deployments and possesses the technical depth to challenge assumptions and optimize the authoring experience.
Key Responsibilities- Requirements Excellence: Lead the end-to-end documentation of business requirements within Confluence and translate them into actionable, well-structured user stories and technical tasks in JIRA
. - Strategic
Roadmap:
Define the functional scope of the website rebuild, prioritizing features that align with the firm's digital transformation goals. - Technical Liaison: Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure the proposed solutions are feasible within the AEM framework (Touch UI, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, etc.).
- Stakeholder Management: Navigate the complexities of a financial services environment, ensuring compliance, security, and brand standards are met without sacrificing user experience.
- AEM Mastery: Proven track record as a Product Manager for multiple AEM-based projects. You should have a deep understanding of AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Technical Pedigree: Ideally a former AEM Developer or a technical lead who has built AEM systems from the ground up multiple times. You understand the underlying JCR, OSGi bundles, and Dispatcher configurations.
- Industry Pedigree: Strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in top‑tier digital agencies (e.g., Razorfish, Wunderman Thompson, Publicis, VML, or Huge) or large-scale financial services.
- Documentation Rigor: Expert-level proficiency in managing the Confluence‑to‑JIRA pipeline. Your requirements are known for being exhaustive, clear, and "ready for dev."
- Complexity Management: Demonstrated experience documenting end-to-end requirements for large-scale web rebuilds involving complex integrations and migrations.
