Description of RoleSRI Telecom is seeking an experienced Central Office / Cable Headend Level 4 Technician to support network operations across FTTH Hub sites, Headends, Points of Presence (POPs), and Interconnect Locations (ILAs). This senior‑level role is responsible for maintaining network stability, performing routine maintenance, and supporting integration and troubleshooting for major MSOs. The ideal candidate combines advanced technical expertise with strong project management skills to oversee subcontracted teams, ensure quality execution, and uphold network reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate subcontracted installation teams performing FTTH Hub sites, Headends, Points of Presence (POPs), and Interconnect Locations (ILAs)
- Lead installation, integration, and migration work within FTTH Hub sites, Headends, Points of Presence (POPs), and Interconnect Locations (ILAs)
- Conduct site surveys and develop Scopes of Work (SOWs) and Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Oversee QA/QC for all installation and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards
- Inspect and verify both secondary and (with supervision) primary DC power installations
- Supervise configuration and turn up network equipment, including RF, optical transport, and IP platforms
- Supervise execution software upgrades, signal modifications, and system testing in live network environments
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and handoff
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to subcontracted ISP teams
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in FTTH Hub sites, Headends, Points of Presence (POPs), and Interconnect Locations (ILAs).
- Proven ability to lead internal or subcontracted installation and maintenance teams
- Advanced knowledge of DC power systems, fiber integration, structured cabling, and RF systems
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting SOWs, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with EF&I standards and industry guidelines (GR-1275-CORE, NEBS, ANSI/TIA)
- Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and working safely on ladders or in confined spaces
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other documentation/reporting tools
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and dependable - able to work independently or in team leadership roles
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, mid afternoon - evening hours
