THE ROLE + THE FUTURE

We are seeking a hands‑on Ecommerce Manager to serve as the collaborative architect of our brand’s digital storefront. You will bridge marketing, technology, customer experience (CX), and conversion to own the strategy and execution of

This role is a foundational hire. Right now, we need a full‑stack operator—an individual contributor (IC) who can dive into the codebase, debug a Shopify app, and build complex Klaviyo flows today to establish a scalable foundation. However, we do not expect you to be a one‑person show forever.

Our explicit goal is to expand our digital capabilities. We want this hire to be a strategic systems‑thinker who executes flawlessly now, but possesses the capacity planning foresight to know when we are hitting inflection points. You will be expected to build the playbooks, document the processes, and eventually transition into an incredible team leader—knowing exactly when and how to hire internal staff or external partners without sacrificing daily operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Site Operations, UX, and CRO:
    Personally pilot Shopify Plus and our connected tech stack. Ensure the site is extraordinarily functional, bug‑free, and visually striking. You'll handle day‑to‑day site updates, merchandising, and regular front‑end coding (HTML/CSS/Liquid) to maintain agility. Manage our integrations, own the hidden layers of ecommerce (compliance, site speed), and continuously run hypothesis‑driven Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) tests.
  • Retention and Lifecycle:
    Drive the strategy and implementation for Klaviyo, SMS, and loyalty/review platforms. You will leverage zero‑party data to build thoughtfully segmented, highly personalized lifecycle flows. Act as the internal liaison for our external paid media agency, ensuring their work aligns with our on‑site experience and that their ROAS/CAC projections deliver actual growth. Monitor essential KPIs (LTV:

    CAC, AOV, CVR, Cohort Retention) and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Project and Capacity Planning:
    Implement and own a lightweight project management system (e.g. ) to ensure long‑term roadmap initiatives don’t get lost in the noise of short‑term launches. Scope work, write precise technical briefs, and expertly forecast when your own bandwidth dictates the need to bring in external developers, freelancers, or new full‑time hires.
  • Prestige Growth:
    You understand the long‑term damage done to brand equity by a reliance on discounting. You focus on driving conversion and LTV through value‑add mechanics (storytelling, exclusive access, gifting, exceptional CX) and premium digital merchandising.
  • Humanity in the Age of AI:
    You know how to leverage new LLM tools to expand your capacity, speed up data analysis, or check code. However, you fully understand AI’s risks. You validate all outputs, champion human decision‑making, and know exactly where AI has no business (including our brand voice, authentic customer connection, or generative imagery).
