Position: Director of Ecommerce & Growth

A leading clean beauty brand is seeking a highly strategic, data-driven Ecommerce Director to own and accelerate direct-to-consumer (DTC) business. This full-time role is responsible for driving performance across the ecommerce site, paid media, CRM, and lifecycle marketing
, blending analytical rigor with compelling digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own DTC revenue and customer growth targets across site, paid media, and CRM.
  • Serve as strategic owner of the ecommerce site, including site experience, merchandising, content, and conversion optimization.
  • Define and manage a robust testing roadmap (A/B, multivariate, UX) to continuously improve key KPIs (CVR, AOV, LTV).
  • Leverage ecommerce platforms, tools, and technology to optimize site speed, functionality, and user experience.
  • Monitor performance dashboards, diagnose issues, and translate insights into clear action plans and prioritization.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between ecommerce strategy and brand, product, operations, and finance goals.
Campaign, Digital Programming & Lifecycle Execution
  • Lead digital planning and execution for product launches, promotional moments, and evergreen programs across site, email, SMS, and paid channels.
  • Ensure cohesive storytelling and journey design from awareness through consideration, conversion, and retention.
  • Develop CRM and lifecycle strategies, including segmentation, triggered flows, win-back programs, and loyalty initiatives to maximize repeat purchase and LTV.
  • Own calendarization and onsite programming to support campaigns, bundles, cross-sell/upsell, and promotional strategies.
  • Partner with Brand and Creative to brief and refine assets that balance brand equity with performance needs.
Paid Media & Performance Marketing
  • Own paid media strategy, budget, and performance across key channels (e.g., Meta, Google, Tik Tok, programmatic, affiliates).
  • Set clear KPIs and guardrails for efficiency and scale (ROAS, CAC, MER, LTV:

    CAC) and manage daily/weekly pacing.
  • Drive a disciplined testing roadmap across audiences, creative, landing pages, offers, and channels.
  • Oversee creative sourcing, briefing, and iteration in partnership with Creative and Brand to consistently improve performance.
  • Feed performance insights back into content, merchandising, and broader marketing strategy.
  • Ensure paid efforts reinforce major brand moments while delivering sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Lead and manage agencies and vendors across paid media, CRM, and ecommerce tools, setting clear KPIs, briefs, and feedback loops.
  • Evaluate and optimize the ecommerce tech stack (platform, ESP, analytics, personalization, reviews, etc.).
  • Build scalable workflows, reporting structures, and operating rhythms to support a fast-growing DTC business.
  • Establish best practices for experimentation, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of hands‑on experience owning ecommerce and digital growth for a consumer brand, with a strong DTC focus.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable DTC growth through site optimization, paid media, CRM, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Deep familiarity with modern ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify or similar), analytics tools, ESPs, and related integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, build business cases, and drive clear, decisive action.
  • Fluency in both brand‑building digital storytelling and performance‑driven marketing tactics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing agencies and vendors and holding them accountable to performance benchmarks.
  • Comfort thriving in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and being directly accountable for revenue and profitability goals.
  • Must be based in the Los Angeles area and able to work on‑site with cross‑functional partners.
