About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Business Unit Data Analyst to support digital analytics initiatives within an online banking environment. This role is focused specifically on digital product and operational analytics not marketing analytics, Adobe Analytics, tagging, or clickstream marketing tracking.
The position blends strong technical data capabilities with business analysis skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, independent problem‑solving ability, and a strong ownership mindset. This role values mindset and analytical thinking as highly as tool proficiency.
A core principle of this role is automation and scalability, with a strong bias against manual, Excel‑driven processes.
Responsibilities- Support digital analytics initiatives for online banking platforms (non‑marketing focus).
- Perform user segmentation and entitlements analysis.
- Support and enhance administrative dashboards used by internal website admin users.
- Gather business requirements and develop a deep understanding of business processes to support API builds.
- Partner with product managers to define, build, and track KPIs.
- Support system upgrades and conduct transition impact analysis.
- Design scalable, automated reporting solutions.
- Reduce reliance on manual processes and Excel‑driven workflows.
- Operate independently while demonstrating structured problem‑solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience working within financial services, banking, or regulated financial environments preferred.
- Familiarity with financial products, digital banking platforms, or enterprise data governance standards strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Unit Data Analyst role.
- Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working within digital product environments (online banking experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience building KPI frameworks and analytical dashboards.
- Experience supporting API‑driven or system‑based data initiatives.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
