Location:
Torrance, CA in office 4-5 days/week
Honda is seeking a UX Designer to design and refine user‑centered experiences on mobile applications and may also include other digital touchpoints on web and in‑vehicle platforms.
The UX Designer will work collaboratively with UX researchers, product managers, and developers to create intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing digital experiences. The UX Designer will be responsible for translating user research into design solutions, refining user flows, and supporting the overall UX strategy with a focus on usability and consistency.
Key Accountabilities- Understand user needs coming from user research and market feedback.
- Understand industry and competitor UX solutions.
- Design and refine user flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity mockups that align with business goals and user needs.
- Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and support usability testing.
- Collaborate with UX researchers to incorporate user feedback and data‑driven insights into design iterations.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of UX designs and maintain design integrity.
- Maintain and contribute to the UX design system, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Conduct experience audits and competitive analyses to identify opportunities for design improvements.
- Participate in design critiques, presenting work and gathering feedback to refine solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in UX/UI design.
- Experience with Figma.
- Experience designing for multiple platforms, including mobile, web, and embedded systems.
- Understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and user‑centered design methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with user research methodologies is a plus.
