Position Summary
We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong analytical and visualization expertise to support field operations and drive business insights across parts sales, service operations, customer satisfaction, and vehicle quality. This role focuses on advanced analytics, predictive modeling, data mining, and Power BI visualizations to help identify opportunities for improved profitability and customer experience.
You will work directly with large-scale databases (Redshift, telematics, warranty, parts, service retention, etc.) and build pipelines, models, and dashboards that influence enterprise-level decision making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at translating complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build dynamic, interactive dashboards using Power BI for PST Field Operations
- Extract, transform, and analyze datasets from Redshift and related systems
- Visualize key metrics across repair orders, service retention/effectiveness, parts sales, accessory sales, warranty claims, technical training, satisfaction surveys, and more
- Mine and interpret large-scale datasets (telematics, warranty, repair orders, parts, collision, accessories, marketing performance, etc.)
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to optimize parts profitability, marketing strategies, and business decisions
Predictive Analytics
- Build predictive models to improve customer experience, target marketing campaigns, and revenue generation
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning approaches to large datasets
Special Projects
- Support PST business unit requests regarding analytics needs and insights
- Provide data-driven guidance for operational and strategic initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with analytics tools such as Power BI, SAS, SQL, Python, Business Objects, or similar
- 5–8 years of statistical analytics and/or market research experience
- Strong background in data presentation, data management, and process improvement
Desired Skills
- Strong analytics and complex problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with PC-supported tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Business Objects)
- Strong Power Point and communication skills
- Stable work history supporting enterprise-scale organizations
