SUMMARYOur nonprofit client is looking to hire an IT Systems & Security Administrator to administer and maintain our Microsoft 365 and Azure environment, enhance security posture, and assist with on-prem and cloud infrastructure projects. This role will play a key part in configuring and managing Intune, Defender, Sentinel, and related tools, while providing expertise in VMware and SAN storage systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES- Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure services (Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Authenticator).
- Troubleshoot and resolve misconfigurations in existing environment.
- Assist with VMware upgrade (v8) and SAN migration (Dell to HP).
- Support hybrid infrastructure and VPN (Fortinet).
- Implement security protocols, monitor incidents, and remediate issues.
- Collaborate on cloud migration strategy for file servers.
- Provide guidance on best practices for Microsoft tools and security.
- 4 years of experience in systems administration with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Skilled with Windows Server (2019) and Active Directory administration and maintenance, including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, and GPO.
- Knowledge of Microsoft security tools such as Intune, Defender, Sentinel, and security monitoring tools.
- Experience and understanding of email security, vulnerability management, and mitigation; as well as experience configuring and managing O365 SSO using SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
- Several years of experience administering VMware (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere), SAN storage (SAN/NAS) systems, and backup & disaster recovery (Veeam, Barracuda) tools.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot VPNs (Fortinet) and track and manage technical inquiries using ticketing systems & ITSM tools.
- Ability to interpret logs and maintain system stability.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of Dell and HP SAN environments.
- Familiarity with Darktrace and other security tools.
