Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of a new internal product supporting stock market-related applications. This role will work closely with the project sponsor to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and lead the projects and cross-functional teams using agile, scrum, and varied methodologies. The ideal candidate has experience in business/system analysis, vendor management, and aligning dispersed teams including those through US and India.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the firm’s business and stakeholder needs, expectations, and requirements.

• Collaborate with the project team in determining the approach, deliverables, and tools required to meet project objectives.

• Collaborate with the project team to estimate cost and schedule using established estimating processes and tools.

• Obtain stakeholder sign-off on project charter, scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.

• Coordinate all activities of the project team and ensure that project tasks are completed by scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/stakeholder reviews, etc) and communicating action steps and expectations to the team.

• Document business and technical requirements, translate functional requirements into technical specifications, and document technical and process workflows.

• Ensure that QA establishes test cases, acceptance criteria, and, if appropriate, pulse-test script automation while providing project oversight to guarantee compliance with financial and regulatory standards.

• Act as the point of contact for all day-to-day project issues.

• Develop, maintain, review and/or disseminate all project documentation including project charter, status reports, invoices, change orders, schedules, budgets, and retrospective reviews.

• Collaborate on the content and presentation of key deliverables to ensure relevancy, strategy, quality and timeliness.

• Manage vendor and third-party relationships (i.e., consultants, software providers, etc).

• Manage and control project scope and the change control process to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.

• Identify project risks, develop a risk response plan, and regularly communicate risk status to the project team and stakeholders.

• Establish benchmarks for measuring deliverable quality and take corrective actions as necessary.

• Work with distributed teams in the US, India, and potentially China.

• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-driven solutions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A minimum of eight years in a project management role (Financial services industry preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree or better

• PMP certification a plus

• Certification in Product Owner or Scrum Master is desired.

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall development approaches

• Ability to work early hours to align with the US stock market schedule.

• Experience with AWS, Python, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint is a plus.

• Knowledge of options trading or algorithmic trading is a bonus.

• Previous work as a business system analyst is desired.

• Exceptional clarity and precision in written and oral communication.
