Support Analyst is responsible for the daily technical and maintenance support of administrative and research information systems within the College of Medicine Office of Research (CoM OR) Research Technology Services (RTS) and other assigned areas, under the direction of the Manager-Information Technology; provides broad-based support for hardware, software, customer support and preventive maintenance to ensure continual and smooth operation of systems;
handles and resolves all first level computer support calls, emails and walk-ins; monitors systems to ensure optimal performance; identifies, troubleshoots, and initiates resolutions to system related problems; provides mobile device support to faculty and staff; configures applications and troubleshoots mobile device issues in relation to internet/wireless connectivity, delivery of e-mail and calendar functions, access to clinical applications and resources; works with vendors for delivery of new equipment;
reviews and ensures orders are complete; assists with delivery of computer equipment to units and assists with installation of hardware and software; provides support for peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, portable storage devices and monitors; assists and instructs end users in the use of computer hardware and software; provides additional support as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in computer & information science.
Required Qualifications0 years of relevant experience required. 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Basic knowledge and appropriate training in computer technology desired; in-depth knowledge of a variety of operating systems preferred;
Mac experience desired.
