Position: AV/VC Builds Technician L3 - (H)

We're in search of a skilled AV/VC Operations Tier 3 Builds Technician to join our team on-site, bringing along strong expertise in video conferencing installation, troubleshooting and development. If you're adaptable and enjoy a dynamic role, this could be the perfect fit for you. In this position, your primary responsibility will be delivering support to our AV clients. You'll take on the role of an escalation point of contact for requests from Tier 1/2, Tier 3 technicians and customers to assist in conference room setup, and break-fix troubleshooting support.

Tier 3 Builds technician will be responsible to ensure hardware setups and configurations are in place for experimental designs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems. While simultaneously providing necessary support with testing new AV designs and solutions. Collaboration will be key, as you'll closely partner with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to diagnose issues within AV systems and related technologies.

Ensuring the seamless setup and continuous functionality of these systems according to the client's operational schedule will be under your purview as a technician.

The right candidate for this role will have a proven history of managing extensive AV operations within a corporate setting, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to play a highly visible role in an exciting, industry-leading technology business.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Physical installation of AV equipment
  • Mounting displays and AV devices, rack building, pulling and terminating cat6 and audio cable
  • Hardware setup and configuration for experimental designs
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting for AV systems
  • Decommission and transport AV equipment for room refreshes
  • Storage room inventory and upkeep
  • Help with testing new AV designs and solutions
  • Assist with commissioning and turnover of new conference rooms and specialty spaces
  • Google Meet Admin support (provision Google Meet hardware for new deployments)
  • Stage and theatrical lighting and controls buildout assistance and repairs.
  • Assist with AV centric logistics needs
  • Packaging, photos, recording of part and serial numbers as well as paperwork for customs which includes values and links to gear’s website
  • Track all work through ticketing (Jira & Zendesk)
  • Assembly and testing of pre-commissioned gear for ongoing projects
  • Documentation for new AV systems (User/Tech Guides, IP tables, QC sheets)
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR HS diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant work experience in AV operations
  • Subject matter expertise in AV deployments and operations support in a corporate environment and an understanding of audio/video signal flow
  • CTS certification (preferred, but not required)
  • Experienced with all aspects of AV installation including cable pulling, rack building, cable management, various types of terminations (RJ45, DB9) structural accommodations, modifications, device installation, etc.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Crestron. Ability to load system code and firmware including ability to troubleshoot configuration systems
  • Experience working with QSC, and Shure audio systems including ability to load and configure DSP projects and troubleshoot configuration issues
  • Experience working with LED walls including ability to troubleshoot hardware related issues
  • Understanding of networking technology, video transmission over network
  • Project Management Skills with large projects, organizational skills, and an ability to maintain standards.
  • Proficiency with any helpdesk support ticket management software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Ability to remain calm in high pressure/stress situations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
Required AV/VC

Skills:
  • Expert in AV installation and service
  • CTS certification (preferred, but not required)
  • Experienced with all aspects of Commercial AV installation including cable pulling, rack building, cable management, various types of terminations (RJ45, DB9), structural accommodations/modifications, device installation, etc.
