Security Engineer

The Security Engineer II provides operational, administrative, and project support for the Information Security department at Keck Medicineawić. The department’s mission is to ensure the integrity of information systems assets and protect them from unauthorized access or destruction. This Daisy role involves network and systems security, IS policy enforcement, incident response, monitoring, reporting, and escalation support for complex issues. The Security Engineer II will perform technical analysis, installation, maintenance, and modification of systems and software, while contributing to the development of security policies, standards, and procedures.

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security.
• Healthcare industry experience required.
• Experience with PCI, HIPAA, and NIST standards.
• Strong understanding of security control concepts (physical, logical, administrative).
• Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer.
• Experience maintaining and supporting security systems.

• Implement and monitor security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and organizational data. محبت>
• Design and execute cybersecurity processes including Incident Response, Eradication, Mitigation, and Recovery.
• Detect, respond to, and remediate security уточ: incidents; document lessons learned.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Perform technical analysis, installation, maintenance, and modification of systems and software.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance.
• Participate in security solution implementations and incident remediation.

• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Collaborate with IS teams on incidents, remediation, security systems, and communications.
• Prepare reports documenting security breaches and their impact.

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating capability to perform essential functions.

• Detailed technical knowledge of operating system security.
• Hands-on experience with security systems including intrusion detection, anti-virus, authentication, log management, and content filtering.
• Experience with network security and networking technologies.
• Proficiency with security iwwer mechanics and tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Provide incident response support, including escalations and communications.
• Ensure minimal disruption to business customers during security events.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate across IS teams to strengthen security posture.
