Content Designer, Games Design Systems

Our client is looking for a Content Designer to join their Gaming Systems team! This is a full remote, six-month assignment that will require 40 hours/week and to flexible between PST and EST hours.

• Design and operationalize a foundational content design system including style guidance, pattern libraries, and reusable standards, bringing consistency and coherence across complex, multi-surface game experiences.
• Audit live and pre-launch interfaces to extract content patterns, terminology, and usage rules, identifying gaps and misalignments with a sharp editorial eye.
• Lead systems-level thinking by defining scalable frameworks that evolve with the product, balancing precision with flexibility.
• Partner cross-functionally with designers, writers, and stakeholders to align on language, intent, and standards- ensuring teams have the guidance they need, when they need it.
• Collaborate closely with terminology experts to establish clear naming conventions and shared language across the ecosystem.
• Define and implement a modern governance model, leveraging automation and AI-enabled tooling (e.g., content quality platforms, AI-assisted workflows) to maintain quality and consistency over time.
• Influence without authority, proactively gathering feedback, synthesizing perspectives, and iterating toward durable, high-impact solutions.

• 5+ years of senior-level UI writing experience with confidence operating in sophisticated product environments and navigating ambiguity.
• Deep mastery of content design systems, with a proven track record of building and maintaining style guides, pattern libraries, and editorial frameworks at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled content workflows, content governance tools, or automated quality systems (e.g., Acrolinx or similar platforms).

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $90-$110 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
