The Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Technical Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing complex Salesforce B2C Commerce solutions. This role ensures that technical architecture aligns with business objectives, scalability, and best practices while integrating with other enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Design & Architecture
- Define and document technical architecture for Salesforce B2C Commerce implementations.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Salesforce best practices.
- Design integration strategies with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
- Technical Leadership
- Lead technical teams during implementation and provide guidance on development standards.
- Review code and configurations to ensure quality and compliance.
- Customization & Development
- Develop custom components, as required based upon approved technical design
- Configure B2C Commerce features such as catalogs, pricing, promotions and integrations with other systems including order management.
- Integration
- Implement APIs and middleware solutions for data synchronization between Salesforce and external systems.
- Ensure robust error handling and data integrity across integrations.
- Cross Cloud Integration
- Architect solutions that realize customer outcomes and business value across platforms, i.e., Salesforce B2C Commerce, Order Management, Marketing and Service
- Performance & Security
- Optimize system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Conduct regular audits and recommend improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical documentation and training to internal teams.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Bring innovation and thought leadership to drive the clients’ agenda from Accenture and/or Salesforce, i.e., Agentforce
- 8+ years of Salesforce development experience.
- 5+ years in a technical architect role with B2C Commerce projects.
- Technical Expertise
- Strong experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (Demandware) architecture and implementation.
- Proficiency with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture, platform, cartridges, ISML, OCAPI and SCAPI.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Order Management.
- Experience with other Commerce or CX Platforms or CX custom development is a major plus, and/or demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cloud project environment.
- Integration Skills
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools (Mule Soft, Dell Boomi), and data migration.
- Certifications
- Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer or Architect (preferred).
- B2C Solution Architect

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
