Job Description

The Tax AI Associate role supports adoption of AI and enabling technologies across 1,000+ tax professionals through a combination of enablement, requirements translation, co‑building, and disciplined testing. The role sits at the intersection of tax technical work and AI/technology execution, partnering with tax subject matter experts and product/technology teams to translate real tax “jobs to be done” into usable tools, repeatable workflows, and scalable training.

You will contribute to end‑to‑end delivery across the lifecycle—discovery and requirements, enablement and co‑building, user acceptance testing and iterative improvement—with a strong emphasis on practical outcomes, user experience, and responsible use within controlled enterprise tools.

Skills
  • Tax Domain Fluency – Working knowledge of tax concepts and the ability to engage tax SMEs in detailed discussions to understand workflows, pain points, risks, and decision points.
  • AI Enablement & Applied GenAI – Proficiency using ChatGPT or equivalent enterprise‑grade customizable chat solutions to support knowledge work, workflow acceleration, and responsible use; ability to translate “prompting” into repeatable playbooks, templates, and workflows.
  • Requirements & User Story Development – Ability to elicit requirements, document user stories, define acceptance criteria, and translate ambiguous needs into actionable delivery artifacts.
  • Training & Facilitation – Skilled at leading training sessions, office hours, and enablement programs for varied audiences with tailoring instruction to different skill levels.
  • Co‑Building & Tool Configuration – Capability to assist SMEs in building tools/workflows within structured environments while following governance, risk, and quality standards.
  • Quality, Testing, and Feedback Systems – Discipline in UAT planning, test‑case development, feedback capture, defect documentation, and iterative improvement cycles.
  • Communication & Change Enablement – Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce user‑facing guidance, internal updates, and adoption materials that drive behavior change.
Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering & Product Translation – Partner with tax SMEs to map technical tax workflows and identify high‑value “jobs to be done”; produce high‑quality user stories, requirements documentation, and acceptance criteria; maintain organized backlogs and documentation.
  • Enablement & Training Delivery – Plan and lead enablement sessions, including live trainings, recorded content, office hours, and targeted role‑based upskilling; create training materials and practical exercises that translate AI concepts into daily tax work outcomes.
  • Co‑Building with Tax SMEs – Assist practitioners in developing AI‑enabled workflows and tools within controlled technology environments; help convert one‑off experimentation into standardized assets such as templates, playbooks, reusable prompts, and documented procedures.
  • Communications & Thought Leadership – Create and publish internal communications, user guides, release notes, and change management documentation; contribute to practice‑facing thought leadership on applied AI in tax and responsible use.
  • Testing, QA, and Continuous Improvement – Conduct user acceptance testing sessions; document outcomes, issues, and enhancement opportunities; log defects and improvement stories; support QA testing and validate fixes before release.
