About the TeamThe Cloud Reliability team within Infrastructure Engineering builds the foundation for our streaming services and directly influences customer experience and engineering velocity. We enable developers with self‑service, automation, and highly reliable, scalable infrastructure.
About the RoleAs a Staff Dev Ops Engineer you will automate, scale, and secure the systems that power our platform. You will lead projects in infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and best practices, build tools that support services, and partner with development teams to drive high‑quality delivery.
About YouYou have a strong background in Dev Ops and infrastructure as code, and you mentor and collaborate across teams to continuously improve our platform. You thrive in a collaborative environment and set an example in quality and standards.
Qualifications- At least a Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or similar.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Dev Ops and infrastructure management.
- 8+ years working in production environments, combining Dev Ops and software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing containerized infrastructure in ECS or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in automation, creating reusable patterns and solutions.
- Expertise in Git Ops practices and CI/CD, including tools like Git Hub Actions, Code Deploy, and infrastructure automation within CI/CD.
- 5+ years experience in AWS and its major services such as ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Pulumi and Terraform.
- Proficient in programming in Type Script with familiarity of other languages such as Go or Python.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Postgre
SQL, MySQL) and non‑relational databases (e.g., Dynamo
DB). - Experience guiding software engineers in production best practices and sharing knowledge across teams.
- Design and deployment experience with data sovereignty‑driven designs (e.g., GDPR).
- Collaboration with other engineers to build tools and systems supporting services and facilitating high‑quality software delivery.
- Knowledge of streaming video delivery, video encoding workflows, video origin architecture, and scale challenges.
- Familiarity with big data and payments domain.
- Understand security concepts such as cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security protocols.
- Experience with Vault, Packer or other Hashi Corp tools.
- Knowledge or working experience with GCP.

Pay range (Los Angeles, CA): $200,000—$249,000 USD.
