Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) Cloud Architect SME to support the SSC/SZ Golden Dome Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) Program Management Office (PMO). In this pivotal role you will lead the rapid stand‑up and ongoing support of the SSC Program Management Office, ensuring advanced cloud‑based solutions enable seamless operations, rapid acquisitions, and secure workflows required for mission‑critical systems.

The DEE Cloud Architect SME will design, implement, and optimize scalable, resilient, and compliant cloud infrastructures to support the program's foundational functions, collaborative engineering processes, and operational objectives.

You will play a vital role in aligning the Golden Dome SBI program's Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) with the specific needs of the SSC PMO, providing secure collaboration tools, rapid prototyping capabilities, and lifecycle management solutions while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations. This position supports systems engineering and program‑level functions across mission‑critical space vehicles, ground systems, and fire control systems.

• Architect and deploy secure and scalable cloud‑based solutions tailored for rapidly standing up and supporting the SSC Program Management Office for Golden Dome SBI.
• Implement cloud infrastructure optimized for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes including collaboration, data access, change management, and engineering workflows using Microsoft PLx tools.
• Scalability Design:
  Ensure cloud solutions accommodate growing workloads, increasing user demands, and future system integrations to support rapid acquisitions and DEE expansion.
• System Integration:
  Seamlessly integrate engineering tools (e.g., MBSE platforms, PLM software, CAD, and simulation tools) with the cloud environment to enhance PMO operations.

• Cybersecurity Frameworks:
  Implement security controls that adhere to DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and relevant guidelines such as NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP for handling classified or sensitive data.
• Access and Identity Management:
  Design secure Identity Access Management (IAM) frameworks to protect sensitive SSC PMO data and ensure operational compliance across all cloud workflows.
• STIG Compliance:
  Apply Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements to all hosted cloud systems, ensuring hardened infrastructure and mission security readiness.

  Enable rapid deployment of scalable and micro‑services‑based solutions using container technologies.
• Infrastructure Automation:
  Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWS Cloud Formation to automate provisioning, monitoring, and patch management for cloud resources that support SSC PMO objectives.
• High Availability:
  Architect fault‑tolerant and redundant systems optimized for uninterrupted support to program management office workflows and acquisitions.
