Cloud Ops Engineer I / IS – Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Services
Full-time, Days, 100% remote (requires California resident prior to start)
Supports development and operations of technology infrastructure, focusing on cloud environments. Works with senior engineers to ensure application uptime, cloud disaster recovery planning, and related initiatives. Fundamental understanding of cloud tech, automation, and secure, compliant cloud infrastructure required.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure & services.
- Administer and troubleshoot systems, including orchestration engines.
- Assist in cloud disaster recovery and uptime initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on application infrastructure.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to incidents outside business hours.
- 1–3 years in cloud infrastructure management, systems administration, or related role.
- Fundamental understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Basic knowledge of automation & orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices & compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash; Power Shell preferred).
- Experience troubleshooting across application domains and platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team, support senior engineers.
- Willingness to be on‑call beyond regular hours.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Preferred:
Master’s degree. Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer.
