Cosm is seeking an experienced AV and Lighting systems commissioning engineer for the deployment of our cutting‑edge venue entertainment systems. This role oversees all phases of project delivery—from planning and coordination through execution and handover—ensuring systems are delivered on time, within budget, and to Cosm standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical understanding of AV, lighting, and related infrastructure, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate across internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

- Develop and own AVL commissioning plans and integrated AVL commissioning schedules for Cosm venues and B2B partner projects.
- Work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
- Oversee commissioning activities, provide operational guidance, and coordinate activities across multiple teams.
- Ensure systems are installed and tested according to design specifications, functional performance, and reliability requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues in real‑time, providing team guidance to address them.
- Participate in the operational readiness process to ensure operating teams are ready to receive training and official handover.
- Monitor system performance and reliability; provide feedback to product, deployment, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and practices.
- Conduct the final sign‑off of all systems under purview.
- Travel required:
30% of the time.
- At least 10 years of experience in commissioning of audio‑visual, lighting, or related systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in AV/L commissioning project management.
- Extensive knowledge of AV/L systems, controls installation, and operation.
- Proven track record of planning, functional testing, AV systems performance investigation and troubleshooting for new and existing venues.
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex technical information to a wide audience, including contractors, architects, and engineers, and others with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
- Must have proven report‑writing skills.
- Must have the ability to communicate responsibilities and detailed operational information to venue teams.
- Project experience with entertainment, stadium, and/or other performance venues is a must; mission‑critical experience is a plus.
- The following certifications are a plus:
CxA or CCP, Q‑SYS, Dante, etc. (Light Designer / Mosaic Designer).
