Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to serve as a trusted partner to leadership and employees across the organization. This role is responsible for managing core human resources functions, ensuring compliance, strengthening employee relations, and building scalable people processes that support business growth. The HR Manager will balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution and play a key role in shaping a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Responsibilities- Own and manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer execution
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, advise on market conditions, and drive effective hiring decisions
- Lead onboarding strategy and execution to ensure a strong new hire experience and smooth integration into the organization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
- Conduct workplace investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions in collaboration with leadership
- Coach managers on performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Support performance review cycles and ongoing feedback initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, leaves of absence, and recordkeeping requirements
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and employment documentation across HR systems and files
- Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, audits, and final pay compliance
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, renewals, and employee education
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefits brokers and vendors
- Identify and implement improvements to HR processes, systems, and workflows to increase efficiency and scalability
- Provide HR reporting and insights related to headcount, turnover, compliance, and employee engagement
- Lead or support special projects and ad hoc initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with manager-level responsibility
- Strong working knowledge of employee relations, compliance, payroll, benefits, and recruiting
- Experience operating in fast-paced, operationally complex environments
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities with sound judgment and autonomy
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; experience with ADP RUN / Workforce Now preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
