HR Manager - Onsite in West LA - $,000 base
Company Size: ~100 employees
We are seeking an experienced and people-first HR Manager to lead and evolve our human resources function as we continue to scale. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership while remaining hands-on across core HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-growth environment, enjoys building structure where needed, and is passionate about creating a strong, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted partner to leadership and managers on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
- Own full-cycle HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS management
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance practices in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead recruitment efforts in partnership with hiring managers, including workforce planning, interview processes, and offer execution
- Manage employee engagement initiatives, performance review cycles, and learning and development programs
- Provide guidance on compensation, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring consistency and fairness
- Oversee benefits programs and act as the primary point of contact for employee questions
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Support company growth initiatives including headcount planning, manager training, and culture-building programs
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a tech startup or high-growth environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience partnering directly with executives and people managers
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, payroll coordination, and benefits administration
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
- Experience scaling HR processes in a startup environment
- Exposure to remote or hybrid workforce management
- Passion for employee experience and culture development
