Moris Media is currently hiring for HR Manager – Toronto. This job may require you to oversee and manage all aspects of the human resources functions to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and people-centric approach. As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing HR strategies that promote a high-performance culture, employee engagement, compliance, and professional development.
You will be responsible for developing HR policies, streamlining HR operations, supporting strategic talent planning, and cultivating a transparent and productive work environment. This role demands excellent leadership capabilities to manage the day-to-day operations of recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, employee relations, grievance redressal, and exit processes. You will collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs, drive workforce planning initiatives, and enhance talent retention through proactive HR programs.
An understanding of digital trends, cultural nuances, and diversity inclusion strategies will be essential in supporting Moris Media’s dynamic and rapidly expanding teams.
The HR Manager will oversee the proper implementation of organizational policies, uphold labor law compliance, and ensure ethical conduct across all departments. You are expected to safeguard confidential employee data, maintain accurate HR documentation, and support internal audits and HR reporting with diligence. A focus on employee wellbeing and motivation will be key, alongside managing HR metrics to provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
You will represent the HR department as a trusted advisor, guiding employees and management in conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and professional growth frameworks. Your role will influence the overall employee experience, reinforce Moris Media’s commitment to ethical leadership, and drive initiatives that build a positive organizational culture. With a strong focus on innovation, adaptability, and strategic execution, this position will be central to supporting the company’s mission, vision, and people-first values.
Key Responsibilities:Design and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with Moris Media’s people-first values and business objectives.Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and onboarding for all departments.Develop, review, and enforce company HR policies, ensuring clarity, compliance, and consistency across all levels.Administer and enhance performance management systems to drive accountability, continuous feedback, and employee growth.Promote and maintain an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative work environment through effective employee engagement initiatives.Handle employee relations issues with discretion, offering guidance on conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions.Drive retention strategies by fostering employee wellbeing, reward recognition programs, and clear career progression plans.Ensure legal and statutory compliance related to employment laws, labor regulations, and internal HR audit standards.Maintain secure and confidential records of employee data, contracts, performance reviews, and HR correspondences.Monitor and analyze HR metrics, providing management with data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.Collaborate with department heads to assess human capital needs, supporting current and future business growth.Conduct structured exit interviews, analyze trends, and implement strategies to reduce employee turnover.Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the organization by integrating culturally sensitive and inclusive HR practices.Support training and development frameworks aimed at building leadership pipelines and reskilling teams in alignment with digital trends.Represent the HR function as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving ethical practices, organizational transparency, and cultural cohesion.Minimum Qualifications:3 to 5 years of proven experience in core human resources functions across recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement.Bachelor’s…
