Senior Payroll Processor

We are looking for an experienced SR. Payroll Processor with expertise in prevailing wages to join our growing nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of payroll systems WORKDAY and UKG. This position will also involve providing guidance to departmental and executive personnel regarding wage and labor compliance issues.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM

Salary Range: $30-$33 Depending on Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review reports filed with EDD, IRS and other governmental entities related to payroll
• Administer worker’s compensation including calculating annual amount for agencies budget, perform mid-year analysis and coordinate the annual audit with the insurance company auditors
• Calculate and process payroll for employees in accordance with prevailing wages
• Maintain detailed records and ensure appropriate filing for each employee
• Research, interpret, and apply compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws
• Manage compliance/responses for wage probes, audits, and surveys
• Handle and resolve employee inquiries relating to payroll and prevailing wages
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with all stakeholders, including department heads, executive management, and outside payroll firms

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Use of WORKDAY and UKG
  Preferred
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage laws, and be able to properly calculate and process payroll.
• 5+ years' experience working in payroll/accounting
• Strong mathematical abilities
• Attention to detail
