Overview
Join Thrive Market as the Director of People Operations Fulfillment. You will collaborate with Operations leadership, HQ centralized functions, and local HR leaders to provide strategic HR expertise that drives our people, mission, and business initiatives. This role oversees day-to-day HR operations across Thrive Market’s fulfillment center network, ensuring compliance, collaboration, and standardization while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Travel to fulfillment center sites (Batesville, IN; Reno, NV; Wilkes-Barre, PA) is required on a regular basis (approximately one week per month). If you are located near one of these sites, travel may be reduced and you would visit the local facility at least twice per week.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement consistent HR strategies that align with the business objectives and support growth across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, onsite leadership, and cross-functional partners to contribute to organizational goals through people operations initiatives.
- Ensure consistent application and compliance with HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws across all sites.
- Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations, updating HR policies and practices accordingly.
- Serve as a point of contact for complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution to maintain a positive work environment.
- Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and inclusivity across all sites.
- Oversee and enhance performance management processes with senior operations leaders to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills, working with SMEs to ensure current content.
- Develop and analyze HR metrics to measure program effectiveness and inform data-driven decisions.
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on HR KPIs with analysis and trends.
- Oversee administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in negotiations and resolution of labor or employee disputes.
- Lead HR initiatives during organizational changes and expansions across multiple sites.
- Strategic HR leadership in a fulfillment center environment, aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced fulfillment setting.
- Experience managing large employee populations (e.g., 400+ employees) with successful HR strategies for engagement, retention, and productivity.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance within a fulfillment center or similar setting.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues and mentor onsite leadership while advocating for employees.
- Experience leading HR initiatives during organizational change, rapid growth, restructuring, or process improvements.
- Proficient with multiple HRIS systems to streamline processes and analyze workforce data.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret HR metrics and recommend actions.

- Base + Bonus Salary Range: $192,000–$222,000 per year
- Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
- Total compensation includes base salary, stock options, health and wellness benefits, flexible PTO, and more.
- This position requires travel to our HQ office in Los Angeles, California once a quarter and as needed.
