The Director of Respiratory is responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of the hospital’s Respiratory Care Services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based respiratory care across all inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing resource utilization, and advancing departmental performance, quality, and patient outcomes.
This is a management position.

- Knowledge and understanding of Title XXII, CIHQ, CMS, Medi-Care Conditions of Participation, CAP, and CLIA regulatory standards.
- Experience and meets requirements for CLIA blood gas laboratory
- Competent to assess the appropriate care given to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, or geriatric patients
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree or in the process of obtaining
- Graduate of an approved AMA Accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy as an RRT
- 5-Years in Respiratory therapy, to include emergency, critical and neonatal care
- Minimum 5-Years supervisory experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP by the American Heart Association
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
