The Director of Respiratory is responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of the hospital’s Respiratory Care Services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based respiratory care across all inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing resource utilization, and advancing departmental performance, quality, and patient outcomes.

This is a management position.

• Experience and meets requirements for CLIA blood gas laboratory
• Competent to assess the appropriate care given to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, or geriatric patients

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree or in the process of obtaining
• Graduate of an approved AMA Accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy as an RRT
• 5-Years in Respiratory therapy, to include emergency, critical and neonatal care
• Minimum 5-Years supervisory experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP by the American Heart Association
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
