We are seeking a temp-to-hire Surgery Scheduler to support our busy ENT Surgery Center in San Pedro, CA
.
Job Type: Full-time, TEMPORARY
Pay: $21-27 per hour
Hours:
Mon-Fri, 8 hours shift
A typical day will include coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for ENT providers across multiple facilities while ensuring all provider orders, required documentation, and insurance authorizations are complete and accurate. This role involves communicating surgery dates, pre-operative instructions, testing requirements, and follow-up plans to patients, as well as answering questions related to surgical preparation and recovery. The Surgery Scheduler serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and anesthesiology teams, maintains accurate scheduling records and timely updates in the EHR, coordinates referrals and pre-operative testing, and manages schedule changes, cancellations, and reschedules promptly and professionally while meeting all documentation timelines.
This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Our ideal candidate has prior experience in surgery scheduling, with otolaryngology experience considered a strong plus. We welcome applicants who are bilingual and able to provide clear, compassionate communication and translation support to better serve our diverse patient population. Experience scheduling both in-office procedures and coordinating with surgery centers and hospital operating rooms is highly valued.
