Patient Services Representative I​/Pediatric Surgery

Purpose Statement/

Position Summary:

The Patient Services Representative I for Pediatric Surgery provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments.

Work Experience:

Required:
One year experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting. Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills required. Ability to deal effectively with the public.

Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish; ability to multitask; knowledge of medical terminology; strong verbal and written communication skills; and knowledge of payer mix.

Education/Licensure/

Certifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Pay Scale Information:

$43,680.00-$53,581.00
