Job SummaryThe Compliance Advisor I is responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of complex compliance projects and activities in support of L.A. Care’s Compliance Program effectiveness by providing timely completion of requests and supports and/or leads projects, as assigned.
Duties- Designs and implements complex compliance project and activities as well as performs project management. Assists with compliance quality assurance and monitoring efforts. Carries out projects in support of the organization’s Compliance Program and regulatory submissions. This involves data validation, quality assurance, and working with cross-functional teams.
- Supports Compliance management on compliance special projects and in the compilation and distribution of routine compliance correspondence and reports.
- Manages administrative activities related to the regulatory compliance activities. Plans and organizes meetings and/or events to include developing meeting summaries/minutes, issues logs, etc.
- Conducts research on regulatory requirements. Expands working knowledge of federal and state requirements, accreditation standards, and/or contractual requirements and assists in accomplishing full compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education Required: Associate's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Related Field. In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Related Field.
- Required: At least 2 years of project coordination experience in compliance in a managed care setting working with a Managed Care Organization (MCO) and managing reports/projects mandated by regulatory requirements.
- Required: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to develop various templates.
