Description
As a Laboratory Technician 3 of the Surgical Pathology team, your primary responsibilities include:
- Serve as the liaison between the operating room and outpatient centers to troubleshoot specimens that are mislabeled or improperly submitted
- Perform specimen accessioning and labeling
- Gross biopsy specimens which include skin, GI, GU, transplant, and breast biopsies and cytoadequacy specimens
- Assist in the performance of frozen sections, including freezing, sectioning, and staining
- Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical activities which can include reagent preparation, cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment, and specimen filing.
- Data entry and retrieval
- Assist with monitoring supply inventory and supply ordering processes
- Provide coverage at the Santa Monica Surgical Pathology Lab as needed
Salary Range: $36.67 - $48.39/hour
In addition to a competitive salary range, this position is also eligible for shift differentials and bonus pay.
