This position will support the Westwood and Santa Monica regions (Central Region), primarily in the Westwood Campus area, providing patient care for our inpatient and outpatient settings. This position will support one of UCLA health's medical centers for participation in holiday, weekend and on-call / stand by schedules as prepared by the manager. Additionally, participation in rotating shifts is required, as needed.
This is a 10 hour shift, 4 days per week.

- Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served
- Obtain, evaluate and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician and correlate with acquired images
- Use cognitive sonographic skills, to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology
- Use independent judgement to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians
- Extend courtesy to our patients, family members, visitors and co-workers through our “World Class Practices” Service Standards
Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder level. Internal transfers may require backfill of existing position prior to transfer to new locations
External Applicants:Staff Sonographer:
- One to two years experience within the hospital / acute care setting
- Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN
- Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred
- Salary Range: $58.74 - $77.50 Hourly
- Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting
- Must maintain Active RDMS certification in three specialties:
Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT - Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography. Additionally, proficiency in interventional procedures
- Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferred
- Salary Range: $65.55 - $79.93 Hourly
Salary Range (Staff through Senior): $58.74 - $79.93 Hourly
