Sodexo is seeking a Full‑Time Registered Dietitian to join the clinical team at Martin Luther King, Jr Community Hospital. MLKCH is a brand‑new, private, non‑profit, 131‑bed hospital located in Los Angeles, CA.

Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days!

• Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal.
• Money toward continuing education events.
• Up to $5,000 tuition reimbursement annually.

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy screening, assessing, and documenting the inpatient populations’ nutritional needs.
• Implement care plans and educate patients (and family members) with a variety of disease states.
• Assist the Clinical Nutrition Manager with projects as assigned.
• Participate in the continuous quality improvement process and maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and committees, and other relevant activities.

• A valid registered dietitian credential with at least 2 years of clinical experience in acute care.
• Prior experience with Medical Nutrition Therapy guidelines, regulatory standards, and evidence‑based medicine.
• A comfort level with NFPE (Nutrition Focused Physical Exam) and prior experience with EMR (Cerner). Prior Room Service experience is a plus.
• Strong ability to work well as part of a team, actively communicate with all disciplines, and advocate for the patient.

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the ACEND.

Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire.

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.

Minimum Functional Experience – 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision.
