• The ACCP is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients.
• Performs basic patient care skills with emphasis on airway management, follows infection control practices, positions, transfers and transports patients, assists in applying specialized client equipment, takes vital signs with emphasis on observing for respiratory depression and responds and reports monitor alarms.
• Collects specimens, accurately observes, reports and charts; performs range of motion; assists with suctioning patients with post-op nausea, and elimination needs.
• Provides training of clerical staff and assists with preparing bays for the following day.

• Professional caregiver with responsibility for patient care and accountability for a designated group of patients.
• Basic patient care skills, airway management, infection control, vital signs observation and monitoring, and the ability to respond to monitor alarms.
• Ability to assist with suctioning, postoperative care, and patient elimination needs.
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts in the PTU/PACU setting (as needed, variable days, 11:00–23:30).
