Positions are located in the Nursing Units at the Veterans Home of California - West Los Angeles and is responsible for resident care duties in the SNF unit and may act as a lead in the absence of the shift lead.

Special Requirements

* The position(s) require(s) a(n) California Board of Registered Nursing License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

Veterans may qualify for a Cal Vet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678). The application package must include documentation of discharge, appropriate to the branch of service. The documentation must reflect a discharge/release under conditions other than dishonorable. If the candidate fails to include this information then the Cal Vet Veterans Hiring Preference shall not be granted in the recruitment.

Successful completion of live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.

Vaccination:

* In accordance with current California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Orders and/or Department of Social Serivces (DSS) PINs, workers in various health care settings, including those who work at Veterans Homes, must be vaccinated against COVID-19, including the booster vaccine, or submit a deli nation form.

Mandatory Testing:

* Staff who are not fully vaccinated or have submitted a declination form are subject to semi-weekly (twice per week) testing.

* Additional testing may be required for vaccinated and unvaccinated staff based upon current CDPH orders, DSS Pins and/or CalOSHA guidelines and are subject to change.

* If selected for hire, you may provide proof of vaccination to the hiring supervisor or designee during the pre-employment process.…
