• High School Diploma or GED
• Flu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC only
• Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• Ability to prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
• 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic

• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current medications, and record in medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
