In this role, you will work under the general supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist. Your functions will include:

This position will be working in both Westwood and Santa Monica locations, as well as other future sites as assigned.

* May be hired as Radiation Therapist if less than 5 years of experience.

Salary for Senior: $66.04 - $87.12 hourly

Salary for Radiation Therapist: $61.60 - $81.20 hourly

Required:

• ARRT License
• CRT License
• 5 or more years of radiation therapy experience
• BLS/CPR from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Skill in working with different types of treatment machines such as MR Scanner, CT Scanner, HDR units, and Linear Accelerators, and ability to recognize hazardous conditions
• Ability to lift cerrobend blocks weighing up to 35 pounds
• Knowledge of basic physics as applicable to Radiation Therapy
• Ability to use an electronic calculator to perform dose calculations
• Skill in communicating technical aspects of Radiation Therapy in an understandable way to patients
• Skill in recognizing and reporting adverse patient therapy reactions
• Knowledge of thermo-luminescent dosimeters principles and applications
• Skill in reading medical documents and implementing computer-generated physics treatment plans
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures
• Working knowledge of procedures regarding immuno-suppressed patient isolation
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with physicians and physicists
