The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Perform duties under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients.
• Fulfill all aspects of the MA I role and demonstrate full competence in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and regulations in all clinical activities.

• Coursework/Training:
  Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship (Applied learning) or
• Coursework/Training:
  Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
• Coursework/Training:
  Has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months or
• Coursework/Training:
  Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months of Healthcare experience
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Posted wage range: $24.00 - $35.41. The base pay range may be supplemented by shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
