Overview

MeBe is a provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism and other special needs. Our mission is to empower families, professionals, and communities by educating and training them on evidence-based approaches. Our multi-disciplinary care includes OT, Speech, and ABA. At MeBe, you’ll be offered training and support to launch a career in Behavior Therapy and grow as an individual. You’ll work with an extraordinary team to help children with autism be their best selves, with days filled with meaning and purpose.

MeBe offers one of the top ABA training programs using the Vincent Carbone method. We invest in two weeks of paid training to prepare you to pass your RBT exam. MeBe Family will pair you with Supervisors to shadow, ask questions, and guide you.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health, and behavioral challenges. Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. People with ASD may face a wide range of issues, which means that there is no single best treatment for ASD. Working closely with a health care provider like MeBe Family is an important part of finding the right combination of treatment and services.

As a Behavior Technician
, you will:

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to children with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center clinic
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the child’s communication, self-help, social and play skills
• Relay information on your child’s progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments
• Accurately record the child’s behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your assigned tablet
• Clock in, submit session notes, and clock out to align with ABA and Insurance provider regulations
• Help keep the workplace safe, organized, and tidy
• Assist with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing as needed
• Assist with projects and tasks as directed by your Site Director and Clinical Supervisors
• Voice questions, issues, and concerns to supervisors and participate in treatment planning
• Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries
• Contribute to the MeBe Family culture

• Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you).
• Prefer a background in child care, teaching, counseling, or babysitting.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, sit, stand, and/or run; vision with correction; hearing with assistive devices as needed.
• First Aid Certified and CPR training is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work with computers.
• If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
