Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female In-Home Caregiver with experience in dementia care to provide essential support to a client in his own home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, particularly in home care settings, geriatrics, and ADL care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well‑being of our client, allowing him to maintain his independence while receiving the care he needs.

Empathy Hands Home Care, LLC is looking for reliable, compassionate, and qualified Female caregivers to serve our clients in the Los Angeles Area. We are looking for experienced Caregivers, CNAs, or Senior Companions for clients in the Northridge Area. This is our agency's goal.

Role Summary

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing our clients' quality of life and ensuring their comfort and well‑being s position requires a commitment to delivering personalized care while respecting the dignity and privacy of those you serve.

Duties
  • Assist our client with dementia care and activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, range‑of‑motion exercises, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Support clients with mobility assistance.
  • Remind and monitor medication and health conditions.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
  • Follow fall‑prevention and safety protocols.
Skills and Responsibilities
  • Assist the client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
  • Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and physical health.
  • Ensure a safe living environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization within the home.
  • Collaborate with family members to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while providing care.
  • Experience in dementia care or senior care is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of home community care practices and working with individuals with ALS disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding.
  • Ability to lift clients safely when needed, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
  • Familiarity with meal preparation that meets nutritional needs.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in outpatient, geriatrics, or in‑home care settings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach clients about their care plans effectively.
  • Must be patient, empathetic, and possess excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
Job Details

Job Type: Part‑time / On call

Pay: $20.00 – $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 28 to 30 hours a week, Sundays through Saturdays, 9 am to 1 pm, 1 pm to 5 pm, and 5 pm to 11 pm shifts
